This weekend, my Club hosted a seminar with Oliver Schafflhuber from Germany. I really enjoyed it and feel like I learned a lot. Oliver is a super helper - catering his style to the needs of each individual dog - and was a really nice guy. I hope we can bring him back again in the future.

In the last videos from Sunday, we were working on getting her to come to me after she won the sleeve, because earlier we had discovered that she would instead happily run around the field and not come back once she had the sleeve. Until she will, without any 'coaxing' from the long line, she'll remain on a long line whenever we do bitework.

Wow, she is eager...I see a difference in the two days...on Sunday she seems a bit more focused, although still wanting that sleeve....

Are you training just her in shutzhund, or do you have another now too going through the course?

She was better on Sunday than she was on Saturday. Saturday she was a little more unsure, which is normal, to a point, with a new helper, but Sunday it was all I could do to hold her as I walked her from the car over to the field!

Dave, right now, she's my main priority as far as training goes, because I need to get her titled and shown so that I can breed her before she's 10 years old but I am also working with Deja, my other female. I'd like to get a SchH 1 title on her this year if I can, but that would be as far as I would go with her, because of her age.
