When you receive a Fwd. joke e-mail from people you know, do you often see a lot of e-mail addresses at the top where it says 'To:'?
If so, here's a way to stop yourself from committing the same offence.
Click on 'Forward'...........instead of leaving the cursor where it is in 'To:', click into 'Bcc:', then go to your 'Quick Address List' and click 'Show All'.
This will bring up your entire list of contacts. There you will see 3 columns, To:, Cc: and Bcc:.
When choosing who to forward your e-mail to, only tick in the 3rd column,
Bcc:.
That way, when the contact receives your e-mail, they won't see all the other e-mail addresses you've sent it to, just their own.
This will help prevent spam by not showing all previous e-mail addresses to the rest of the world and their brother when other people receive it.
Pass along this e-mail tip to all your friends and family and hopefully, in time, our e-mail addresses won't get passed around the WWW and we'll all receive less spam.
You have my permission to copy and paste this information and send it to all your contacts (using the Bcc: function of course).
To ensure this works for you, when sending this include another of your own addys in the Bcc: list and check your other addys e-mail.
Let's rid the world of spam!!!
