PostSubject: Use of nosodes in lieu of vaccines   Tue Nov 11, 2008 6:03 pm

What Is A Nosode? In homeopathy, there is a special type of remedy called a nosode. A nosode (from nosos, the Greek word meaning disease) is a homeopathic preparation made from matter from a sick animal or person. Substances such as respiratory discharges or diseased tissues are used. It sounds disgusting and repulsive, but the preparation, using alcohol, as well as the repeated dilution and succussion, essentially renders the substances harmless, while producing a powerful remedy. The use of nosodes in a prophylactic manner, for preventing disease, has been employed in veterinary and human homeopathy for decades.

Unlike vaccines, nosodes are completely safe and have no side effects. They can be safely given to puppies as young as 2 weeks of age. They are also easily administered, given by mouth, and don't even need to be swallowed, as they work through absorption of mucous membranes (just like if the dog were naturally exposed to a virus or bacteria!). They are cheaper than vaccines, as well. I start giving my puppies the parvo and distemper nosodes when they are 2.5 to 3 weeks old.

Nosodes can be used after exposure (or suspected exposure), too. If given immediately after exposure, before the dog begins to show symptoms, nosodes can prevent the development of disease.

Quote:
Vaccinations represent a major assault on the body's immune system. Attenuated organisms or chemically killed viruses or bacteria are injected directly into the blood stream, an unnatural route of infection. This profound insult, avoiding the body's first line of defenses, and flooding the system with millions of organisms or viral particles, stresses the immune system in a way not of natures design. This insult causes irregularities and abnormalities in the immune system which then manifests as chronic diseases in animals. - Charles E Loops DVM

Very interesting reading....we now have reconsidered all those vaccinations for Penny....I never liked the idea of giving them every year in the first place. And the rabies shot I've heard so many horrible stories of paralyzed dogs, I'm not really going for that much either..

My current dogs all got puppy shots and a 'booster' at a year of age (and Deja was probably vaccinated yearly until I got her), but I haven't given them any more since. When I have a litter of puppies, I use parvo & distemper nosodes beginning at 2.5 - 3 weeks of age, administer one distemper shot at 12 weeks of age, have the vet do a blood titer check 2 weeks later to see if the shot 'took,' and if it did, I will then administer a parvo shot and check titers 2 weeks after that. I use 'high titer' vaccines, which are designed to overcome maternal antibodies, so I have not yet had a problem with the 12-week shot not 'taking.' I wait as long as possible to give the first rabies vaccination, and at least 4 weeks after any other vaccinations have been given, and I have the vet re-check blood titers every 3 years.

My aunt's old dog with heart disease...it's under control, but each time we go in to the vet for the medicine, the office help keep pushing the vaccines, but we told them, no more, he's old...we are just making him as comfortable as can be in his old age.

You know, it really ticks me off how vets just push and push and push vaccines, especially when it states clearly on ALL vaccine fact sheets that they are NOT to be given to sick or debilitated animals!!! There's a lady on another board whose 12-year old dog has cancer and her vet (who is also her employer) is constantly 'reminding' her that the dog is 'overdue' for her vaccines!! Angry

Pepper is almost 14...everytime we go to pick up her medicine, the office staff go through her records and say she's due for rabies...we decided when all this controversy over the vaccines became public knowledge that she wasn't having anymore shots....they don't like it but nothing they can do...finally the one gal said the only shot we require them to have to be treated is parvo....she's had that....and for the record, all vaccines here are 3 year to life ones.....

That's the name of the game, push the shots, make money if more denied them, the drug companies would go out of business....

Next they will want to vaccinate parakeets...

Lets get this straitgh......... homeopathy "kills likes with likes" ............ but it can be very painful while in 're-process'. Been there..know that.

But I have also have been being carried into a homeopath's surgery being bent double over with lumbago and running out of the surgery catching a bus!

Only the Germans know about REAL homoepathy...... the British are just pedlars!
I went to a 'qalified' homoepathist and she punched 'numbers into a hand-held reeceiver.........
that was to 'activate' the dummy pills........ WHAT A C0N!
