Junk Mail Floodings Avoided

THE BEST PREVENTION for junkmail floodings is

not clicking on just any box that comes up(as many are programmed with spyware) and to be very careful who one gives the e-mail addy to!

Another source of 'unwittingly' passing on unauthorized by the owners of e-mail addresses are those FWDs, Chain-letters and E-cards! the latter two are collecting addies and selling them!

IF people feel they 'must' pass FWD's on, then at least they should put all their contact-addies in the ...

Saving Graphics In Folders on Desktop

Another method is to save graphics in hard drive on the desktop using a Folder.

I suggest to either write the instructions down or print them out until one has mastered the technique.

How to make a folder:

- Right click anywhere on the screen and click on "new" and then Folder

- Give Folder a name (i.e. greetings or whatever)

This folder will stay on the desktop

To save graphics:

- Right click on the graphic and press "Save as...."

- Give ...

For the information of people that have no contact with what happens on a www site....

EACH DAY, every domain and subdomain has a LOG FILE. It's a Word Pad type documents, that list EACH AND EVERYTIME someone accesses EACH PIECE you have on your www site.

If a person copy and pastes a background, a header...what ever...you get a list for EACH piece that was accessed.

It give you the URL of the site where that ...

When you receive a Fwd. joke e-mail from people you know, do you often see a lot of e-mail addresses at the top where it says 'To:'?

If so, here's a way to stop yourself from committing the same offence.

Click on 'Forward'...........instead of leaving the cursor where it is in 'To:', click into 'Bcc:', then go to your 'Quick Address List' and click 'Show All'.

This will bring up your entire list of contacts. There you will see 3 columns, To:, Cc: and Bcc:.

If you've ever wanted to take a snapshot of your desktop, a web site, an error message, or illustrate a "how to" tip or article -- this tip is for you.

Some graphics programs come with a dedicated screen capture utility that allow you to do this graphic's chore easily and with a variety of options. There are also stand alone screen capture utilities available. But your standard Windows keyboard will do the trick quite nicely too.

Here's how to take a screen capture, or a picture ...

PC Security - SpywareBlaster

This is a very useful and efficient programme which, once set up, runs in the background catching all 'nasty weevils' other anti-virus programmes cannot find.

It also can be set to prevent you accidentally getting into porn sites, a known source for spyware and keyloggers.

It is also preventing children/grandchildren/visitors from getting onto porn sites.

It is advised to run a scan at least once a week and frequently check on updates.
