One common homeopathic dog nutritional supplement is yogurt. It contains “good” bacteria, which can aid in digestion and help keep your dog’s digestive system clean and functioning optimally.

Yogurt is also a key in transitioning your dog from kibble or other processed food to a raw diet because of the good bacteria and protein content.

You may want to take your yogurt treatment to the next level and you can do this with a dog supplement called Kefir. Kefir is a cultured milk product like yogurt, but it takes the benefits one step further. Kefir contains friendly bacteria and also colonizes the digestive tract, which helps improve solid wastes, reduces intestinal disorders, reduces gas, and promotes proactive health maintenance. Additionally, it will help with your dog’s coat, skin, and reduce anxiety.

*Add a spoonful of acidophilus or naturally cultured yogurt that includes acidophilus to your dog’s food to help him digest his meals better or settle an upset stomach.

Maintain a balanced internal environment.
While some beneficial bacteria produce chemicals that inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria, most beneficial bacteria help prevent disease through population control. A healthy population of beneficial bacteria will actively compete for space and nutrients to prevent harmful bacteria from multiplying to disease-causing proportions. Also, better nutrient absorption facilitated by beneficial bacteria means a healthier immune system that is better able to fight off pathogens.

Add 2 Tablespoons in the daily amount of food you feed...

Yogurt also helps stop diarrhea....

Dosage: 1 Tablespoon per 10 pounds

May I just add that it must be natural plain yoghurt and best to give goats yoghurt, better digestable than cows milk.

As for the quantity, I do not recommend more than one dessert spoon after feeding.. it is of no consequence how big or small the dog is but obviously a toy needs just a teaspoon full.
Important also is, not to mix it with the food/kibbles but separately, at the end.
